Kerala : 97 suo motu raids were conducted in Pathanamthi, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Idukki, Malappuram, Kannur, Kozhikode, Thrissur, Palakkad, Ernakulam and Thiruvananthapuram districts in Kerala during the month. 2,11,366 MP3 CDs, 24,989 pirated VCDs and 15,303 pirated DVDs were seized. 97 persons were arrested. Ludhiana, Punjab :- In an excellent raid a godown was searched in Bhadour House, Ludhiana on 3rd April. 3809 MP3 CDs, 6767 pirated VCDs, 4774 pirated DVDs and 7000 inlay cards were seized. Owner Ravi Kumar was arrested. Value appx. 15 lakhs. 4 kms from legitimate outlet. (Seizure includes 450 CDs of Warner titles).
