RAID REPORT ON THE MOBILE CHIP PIRATES

Chennai, T.N. :- Shop no. 708 in New Washermenpet and a shop called Cell Zone in Thiruvettiyur area of Chennai were raided on 8th October. 117 MP3 CDs, 2 Computers, 2 Memory cards and 2 Card Writers were seized. 2 persons, Balakrishnan and P. Kumar were arrested and remanded to 15 days judicial custody.

Delhi :- A shop called Brothers Communications was searched in Patparganj Village, Delhi on 7th October. 1 Computer/DVD Writer, 2 Mobile Chips, 1 Card Reader, 73 MP3 CDs, 52 pirated DVDs and 50 pirated VCDs were seized. Owner Narendra was arrested. Shop no. 12 was searched in Connaught Place area of Delhi on 20th October. 1 Computer, 1 Mobile Chip and 1 Card Reader were seized. Owner Amit was arrested.

Barnala, Punjab :- In a raid conducted at Laxmi Repair Center at Barnala City, on 3rd October, 1 Computer/CD Writer, 5 Mobile Chips and 1 Card Reader were recovered. Owner Munish Bansal was arrested.

Chandigarh, Punjab 13 Mobile Chips and 1 Card Reader were seized from a shop in Chandigarh on 26th October. 1 person was arrested.

Bhopal, M.P. :- 2 shops, Lucky Mobile Shoppe and New Rythem Electronics were searched in Gandhi Market, Piplani, Bhel, Bhopal on 15th October. 2 Computers, 3 Blue Tooths, 5 Card Readers, 17 Mobile Chips, 2 DVDs and 2 MP3 CDs were seized. Owners, Niraj Israni and Shankar Lal Talreja were arrested.

Jaipur, Rajasthan A shop called Classic Mobile Care was searched in Karim Manjil, Jaipur on 27th October. 1 Mobile Chip, 1 Card Reader and 1 Computer were seized. Owner Mohd. Ahmed was arrested.

Kolkata, W.B. : 1 Computer, 1 Card Reader and 5 Mobile Chips were seized from a shop called Kundu Telecom in CIT Scheme VII, Kolkata on 29th October. Owner Subrata Kundu was arrested.
