Tamil Nadu police carried out 109 raids in Chennai, Cuddalore, Vellore, Salem, Madurai, Trichy and Tirunevelly. 7 CD Writer, 8287 MP3 CDs, 4995 pirated VCDs and 17717 pirated DVDs were recovered. 109 persons were arrested and remanded to 15 days judicial custody.

29 suo motu raids were conducted by the Kerala Police in May. Shops and premises in Trivandrum City & Rural, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam City & Rural, Palakkad, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode City, Waynad and Kannur were searched. 1 Computers/CD Writer, 82773 MP3 CDs, 44 pirated DVDs and 2752 pirated VCDs were seized. 30 persons were arrested.

4 suo motu raids were conducted by the WB police in Dist. Birchum, Bankura, Purulia and Jalpaiguri during the month. 3917 pirated VCDs, 110 MP3 CDs and 898 pirated DVDs were seized. 4 persons were arrested.
