In a historic Judgement ever made by the Indian Legal system against the Pirates, The Magistrate in Jabalpur, sentenced the accused Ashish Kumar Jain to 2 ½ years RI u/s 63 and 2 ½ years u/s 68A of the Copyright Act. Both sentences will run concurrently. The Magistrate also imposed a fine of Rs. 1 lakhs u/s 63 and Rs. 10,000/- u/s 68A and ordered confiscation of the seized material.
