Tamil Nadu police carried out 117 raids in Chennai, Cuddalore, Vellore, Salem, Madurai, Trichy, Coimbatore, Dindigul and Tirunevelly. 14759 MP3 CDs, 4377 pirated VCDs and 14937 pirated DVDs were recovered. 117 persons were arrested and remanded to 15 days judicial custody.
15 suo motu raids were conducted by the Kerala Police in August. Shops and premises in Kottayam, Ernakulam City & Rural, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode City and Kasargod were searched. 44106 MP3 CDs, 360 pirated DVDs and 2314 pirated VCDs were seized. 17 persons were arrested.
