Piracy Under The Shadow of Legitimate Shops
These daring pirates making a fast buck outside legitimate Music outlets, were promptly punished by the LAW due to efforts of the IMI team. Over the past year the number of these pirates has been drastically declining but neverthless the IMI team has been closely monitoring areas around legitimate outlets especially Planet M and Music World.
Here's the lowdown :-
- (i) Raid on 3 vendors at Koyambadu, Chennai on 13th August. (6 kms from Music World).
(ii) Raid on a vendor at S.P. Road, Bangalore on 10th August. (5 kms from Music World).
(iii) Raid on 2 shops in Anna Nagar, Chennai on 17th August. (3 kms from Planet M).
(iv) Raid on 2 shops in Burma Bazaar, Chennai on 19th August. ( 5 km from Music World)
(v) Raid on 6 vendor at Ambattur, Burma Bazaar, Kodambakkam area of Chennai on 22nd August. (5 kms from Music World).
(vi) Raid on 5 premises in Anna Salai, Kamarajar Salai and Kandanashvadi area of Chennai on 23rd August. (2 kms from Music World).
(vii) Raid on a recording unit in Ramesh Nagar, Delhi on 22nd August. (1 km from Music World)
(viii) Raid on a vendor at BBD Bag, Kolkata on 17th August. (3 kms from legitimate outlet)
(ix) Raid on a vendor at Ezra Street, Kolkata on 18th August. (3 kms from Music World).
(x) Raid on a vendor at Gariahat Road, Kolkota on 25th August. (3 kms from Music World).
